HID lights have a glass chamber of gas that replaces the filament of conventional halogen light bulbs. The gas is ignited with an roughly 23,000 volt charge and stays illuminated by a constant 12v source that’s offered by a ballast which is connected straight to your battery. Remarkably, HID lights are able to offer greater light output with less power intake. Studies demonstrate that a 35 watt HID lamp produces three times as much light in comparison to a 55 watt halogen bulb. It’s hard to describe HID colors precisely because different people tend to perceive colors somewhat differently. 3000k= Yellow, 4300k= Bright White with a hint of yellow, 6000k= Pure white light (some people detect a slight blue), 8000k= White light with a blue tinge, 10000k= Light blue, 12000k= Deeper Blue, 30000k= Violet/Purple.

Here it’s, springtime, and there are many issues but I like these.

It will take you more than 20 minutes unless you are rehearsed in diving under the hood of your car to switch out bulbs and wire a harness kit. Took me about 40 minutes, but that is after I had been switching between colored bulbs and OEM’s. The kit installed well. I do not like to drill so I used screw that have already been installed in my Honda Fit. The color looks great; light throw looks better; people pay attention to drivers using HID lights (you generally keep your eyes on the bluer lights) and the high beams only switch the angle of output (and do not really get brighter). I have some a problem with the wiring harness that looks to be a little loose. Certain bumps, the lights flicker. That’s what happens with after market merchandise on occasion. Yes, it may be a hazard and I have to get under the hood and make certain that the connections are all tight. I like that the bulbs have a metal mounting plate instead of plastic. WATCH for the plastic base of any bulb; between the heat and the pressure of springs holding bulbs, the plastic WILL weaken and sooner or later fail, which happened to me. Star deduction for the wiring harness issue. Otherwise they are working good. I did purchase another kit (have still to install) for the fog lamps, and the lamps are 3000 kelvin (orange). Do not go higher than daylight (5600 or 6000K) because the higher or lower you go, your light output will diminish. I bought a pair of 8000K lamps that are in, but I do want to get back to the 6000K bulb, because I did see a slight light dropoff from the old kit I had with the 6000K’s. It had to be replaced since the plastic base failed.

They give a bright white light , in Lo. I had a last set of blue pair 6000K bulbs, but nobody told how cool the white light was, till i compare them through the internet reading and watching merchandise reviews like this one.They are installed in a 2003 Nissan XTRAIL. Really easy to install, you can not go wrong connecting the cables, because they have one male , one female and little one connector, which the go connected therefore in your ballast wiring harness also. Great seller and flawless product !! I recommend this product.

After a great deal of research, I came across the Kensun brand. I had read many good reviews and decided that I could take a chance with this kit depending on the reviews that were given.
First things first: these lights are unbelievable. They’re bright, clear and warm up quickly. The light matches all my other LEDS on the front perfectly. The install was comparatively easy and just a matter of taking your time. Think it out ahead of time where you could like to run the wires and so forth, it’ll make the job a breeze. Find a good spot to mount the ballasts (which are small by the way) and secure them with the hardware provided. Everything you’ll need comes with the kit! The low beam light is really lighter than my old Halogen High beams used to be! And the warm up time is as fast as Lexus, BMW, and other OEM headlights. I’m the kind of person that will take two months to purchase a TV as long as I find the best quality at the best price and in my budget. Because of this, I typically never experience purchasers remorse. I can guarantee you that Kensun will stand behind the product they sell.
That brings me to my second point: The buyer service I received from Kensun is really a breath of new air. Not only did they answer many technical questions before I bought them, I then received a follow up call after I installed the kit to be sure that I was happy with my buy. Are you kidding me? Best purchase does not go to this extreme for their customers. That means many to me.
I will gladly give a follow up to this write up as time goes on. I could greatly recommend Kensun HID kits for anybody that was considering upgrading to this kind of lighting. You won’t be disappointed.
The price, the quality, and the great buyer service you get after the sale are what Kensun looks to be all about.

The kit was inside of a nice metal case box complete with information and metal harnesses. There were only two problems that weren’t in depth in the instruction manual:

1 After complete installation, which by the way is easy, I had to make a lateral cut to the stock water protection rubber gasket that covers the light socket. This is caused by the cables being permanently attached to the light bulb that goes inside the socket and through the center of the rubber gasket, preventing the big thick cables to enter the tiny rubber gasket hole. The only solution I came up with was to cut the rubber gasket by the side and put the cables that way ensuring the gasket is put back tightly to prevent water to enter the light bulb socket.

2 In the wiring chart they don’t show the cable polarity with colors or signs. I wrongly expected, like in many Direct Current installations, that Red means + and Black means or ground. WRONG! For this installation it’s the opposite! I found in the included manual that if the lights don’t work the polarity must be reversed and by doing so the lights came on! Just remember to attempt reversing the polarity before you return this item because that may save you time and money.

After these two minor problems were solved, the system works as projected my old 2002 Civic with the most powerful beam of light that competitors any brand new luxury car out there for a tiny fraction of the cost. I’m pleased with this product and it’s a greatly suggested upgrade to any car that still drives with those hard to see stock candle light quality Halogen systems. I had personally spent more than $200 in halogen light bulbs replacements alone. Not any more since HIDs are long lasting!

Installation was a snap, too. One thing that I really like about this light is, Kensun put a little light blocker at the bottom of light bulb to prevent bright HID shooting upwards to annoy other drivers!! (This was only concern that I had when I bought this product I do not want to be pulled over by police..,)

(REAL NAME) This review is from: Security Chain Company ZT747 Super Z LT Light Truck and SUV Traction Chain Set of two (Automotive) I am a rural carrier. I have driven through 100 miles, up and down the hills on the back roads, with four inches of snow on the roads with the on without a problem. Learn to put them on before it starts to get bad. I have gotten to where I can put on all four in 30 minutes. Just remember not to go too over 30 to 35 mph with them on. Otherwise you will tear them, and your tires, up.

The benefits all around out weigh the little cost of the product considerably. I live in the south east, if it snows or freezing rain the city doesn’t plow but big highways through town. I could recommend these for such instances where regions of bad if will literally shut your town down. Putting them on the tires was about as easy as it may possibly get. You don’t have to move the car. It took me literally two minutes for each tire, and about the same removing. Once they were on my rear wheel drive Jeep handled the snow and ice perfectly. The rear tires never did turn and I generally had traction.
If I had chains for the front tires also I may have gone just about anywhere. It does make the ride a little deafening and bumpy, but that is to be projected. As portrayed by the make it isn’t suggested for over 35 MPH. Nor could you in suchconditions anyway. I also could not use on streets that the snow melted and only wet pavement is seen. They are perfect for the car that doesn’t do well in snow and for early morning drives to work in weather non typical for your area. My neighbor was so impressed with the design and the easy putting them on, he ordered a pair for his wife and her rear wheel drive explorer.

By phrend See all my reviews This review is from: Security Chain Company ZT751 Super Z LT Light Truck and SUV Tire Traction Chain Set of two (Automotive) When I 1st got this product, I thought it was great these “chains” go on so much easier than the kind that you must lay out and drive on to. I have got a pick up truck, and used these “chains” about 6 10 times. My low ranking is caused by the fact that one of the cables is about to break (about two or three strands of the cable are holding it together, but it is not safe to use). The problem looks to be that the cable on the front and back side wall is crimped in to these rectangular connection points and I am guessing that when they crimped mine, they damaged the cable, because the cable is breaking right at the crimp point. I have had them for more than a year (the warranty period) but I am going to contact the company to see if they’ll stand behind their product.
